Barcelona to Host First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in La Liga two and a half years following their departure to allow renovations to start.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
