Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Acclaimed young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was reached following an inquiry regarding claims about questionable actions involving female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
