Reigning Sabalenka Wins Back-to-Back WTA Top Player Accolades.

The tennis star in action
Aryna Sabalenka ended the year with an outstanding twenty-three to three Grand Slam match record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been selected the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second successive year.

The 27-year-old won four tournament victories – the highest tally on the circuit – which included retaining the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to earn her fourth Grand Slam singles title.

A Season of High Performance

Across the season, Sabalenka reached a tour-best nine finals, with defeats coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The star player also won the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She remained the whole season as the world number one, finishing 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.

This past summer, she became the first athlete to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.

Historic Statistics

Sabalenka concluded the season with a sixty-three to twelve match record, and collected a record eleven million pounds in prize money.

She earned nearly eighty percent of the votes cast by international tennis media.

Later this month, she is scheduled to face 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match in a bid to "elevate women's tennis to a higher level".
