Trump's Granddaughter Seeks Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf Debut
The rising star has considerable social media following
The young golfer can count on plenty of prominent supporters when she makes her professional golf debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika competition in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, possesses several international courses and often plays against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have tight competitions," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Just stay calm."
"My grandpa essentially told me to go out there and relax," she added.
"To me, he's just an ordinary family member. He can't make it this weekend. He's occupied with world affairs, so he's quite busy."
Being non-professional, the golfer has played in only three events recently and maintains the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
However she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He is the best player globally," the young golfer said.
"And he's a superior individual. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, following whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against several the biggest names in women's golf at the competition, featuring world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Officials commented that involving Kai exposes the sport to different demographics, particularly among younger fans.
The young star has millions of followers and just introduced a personal clothing and lifestyle company.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
